Life is as much about choices as it is the cards we are dealt,if not more so. In The Question of Lahash, Nicole Mayor uses Kate, a celebrity magazine writer, to propose an unplanned social experiment of sorts to a wickedly dark rock star named Lahash, who has risen to fame by taking on a demon persona.

As seen from Kate’s perspective, a series of events and the unearthing of family secrets reveals a character that all of us can relate to in some way, both for good and bad. Readers will be challenged to look beyond the facade and into the heart of even the “demons” among us.

Very impressed!! I must admit that I went into this without high expectations. As I began the read, I immediately enjoyed the writing style but was still skeptical about how well the characters and story might develop. By the end, I was totally bowled over by the strength of the writing, the depth of the characters, and the power of the story. Many different messages can be taken and I believe there’s something for everyone. Something to which anybody can relate. And things we can all learn. A poignant, enjoyable read!!! – Marty V
